Reservations, Deposits, Cancellations
ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
Check-in is after 5 PM; the rooms will be ready. To avoid a formal checkout, a credit card is required at check-in. We accept American Express, Visa, Diners Club and MasterCard. All stays commence with orientation, hors d’oeuvres and dinner. On departure day we simply ask you to vacate your room prior to 3PM. This will give our housekeepers time to prepare the rooms for the incoming guests.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
Reservations are required, as we do not accept drop-ins. To make a reservation, please telephone or email. We will hold the space requested for 14 days, by which time we must receive a non-refundable deposit of 50%, or the reservation will have to be voided to make room for others. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation by mailing you a confirmation letter, trip planners and bill for the balance. The balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival. If the balance has not been received by that date, the reservation will be cancelled, and the deposit will not be refunded because we will have disappointed many friends.
BOOK EARLY
We are quite busy at Redfish Lodge, and strongly encourage booking well in advance if you have in mind a particular time or room in which you would like to stay. Fully paid reservations years in advance are not uncommon but by all means, give us a call for that spur-of-the-moment need to escape. Full payment must accompany any reservation made less than 30 days in advance of the trip.
CANCELLATIONS
Because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last-minute cancellation leaves us little chance of filling the reserved space due to the nature of our business. For these reasons, we uphold a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations made 60 days before your confirmed date are transferable. Cancellations made after the 60 days are transferable provided that the original dates can be rebooked. Please have ‘stand-ins’ available. You can replace your guests at anytime but we can not refund money for no–shows. After 60 days prior to arrival, no refund is possible regardless of the reason for non-arrival or early departure, unless we are able to re-book the space.
WEATHER
Texas weather is often windy, wet and sometimes violent of which neither Lodge nor the guests have any control. Consequently we are very careful in consulting with the guest before any decisions are made to cancel a trip. For a weather cancellation, a credit is automatically given for a future trip. As a precondition, it must be understood that if you book at Redfish or Ruddy Lodges, refunds are not granted for weather cancellations.
